2026 Student Registration

ONLINE REGISTRATION

Rensselaer Central Schools are excited to welcome incoming students ​for the 2026-2027 school year!!

Returning Students! Registration is completed online for your convenience!  Only new students or those without internet access are required to visit the office to begin the enrollment process.  

Beginning school is a very exciting time in the life of a child.  It can also be a very confusing one for a parent...especially if it's your first child to enter school.  We have created these instructions to help you navigate this new world and make the process as user-friendly as possible. 

Returning Students! Online registration begins July 24, 2026.
The registration process should take approximately 20-30 minutes per student.  

New to Rensselaer Students! Online registration begins August 3, 2026.
Students new to Rensselaer or parents who require a visit to the office-  School offices will be open M-F beginning at 8 AM and closing at 3 PM. All forms will be completed online once a registration code is provide for new students.

Complete the online registration process.  Registration forms are completed using our management system, PowerSchool.  Directions and links are located below to access this site.

Complete the Transportation Form Online.
Please fill out the transportation form if you are requesting transportation for the 2026-2027 school year.
ALL students expecting transportation must fill out this form even if there is no change from the prior year. 

If you are new to your bus route, the driver will contact you prior to the first day of school.

REQUIRED REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS
  • Your child's birth certificate
  • Your child's immunization records
  • Proof of Residency in RCSC's school district or other documentation (lease, utility bill)
  • Any legal documents related to child custody, restriction or restraining orders
  • Contact information for any schools previously attended
