RCSC Food Services

The RCSC Dining Experience: Quality, Nutrition, and Accessibility

At Rensselaer Central School Corporation, we are committed to providing a high-quality food service program that supports the health and academic success of our students. Through strategic partnerships and professional oversight, we ensure that every meal served in our cafeterias meets rigorous standards for quality and taste.

Professional Nutrition & Menu Development

Our food service operations are supported by a partnership with the Northern Indiana Education Service Center (NIESC). This collaboration provides our district with expert consultation and professional oversight, ensuring our program remains at the forefront of school nutrition.

Key features of our program include:

  • Dietitian-Designed Menus: We work directly with a Licensed Dietitian to develop balanced meals that meet the nutritional needs of growing students.

  • Expanded Daily Choices: We prioritize variety, offering students a range of fresh daily options to encourage healthy eating habits.

  • Quality Standards: Our focus remains on enhancing the overall dining environment and the quality of every ingredient served.

Commitment to Community: Free Meal Programs

We recognize the importance of accessible nutrition for all families. RCSC is proud to operate under a federal grant program that ensures breakfast and lunch are provided at no cost to all students.

  • Grant Status: This program is currently secured through the end of the 2027 school year.

  • Future Sustainability: RCSC is dedicated to maintaining this service and fully intends to pursue all available grant renewals to keep meals free for our students in the years to come.

By combining professional nutritional expertise with a commitment to cost-free access, RCSC continues to fuel the potential of every student, every day.
